MEMBERSHIP IN THE OHSSL: Coaches may now begin to register their schools for membership in the League. Please go to About> Join Us (on the menu on the left) to learn how to register and download the membership invoice. Linda Miller will be sending out an email to all current and interested new members, informing them that the process may begin. Information on the Coaches' Meeting to be held on September 11 at Toledo Whitmer High School will be included in that email.
STATE-WIDE COACHES MEETING TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 11 All Ohio coaches are invited to Whitmer High School in Toledo on September 11. A welcoming continental breakfast will be served from 9:30 to 10:00 in conjunction with signing in and picking up materials. There will be a large group meeting for all and then District level meetings. After lunch, all coaches will come back together for a continuation of the large group meeting. New coaches will meet during this time with the League Director and others.
Because the State Tournament will be held at Whitmer in March, coaches see an added advantage in coming to this coaches' meeting: coaches can familiarize themselves with the school layout, the hotels and the restaurants prior to March.
Registration forms were emailed to current prospective coaches and can be downloaded below. Registration is $10 and includes the cost of food and materials. The registration deadline is Tuesday, September 7.
Although we cannot give CEU's, we can give a certificate of contact hours. Please check with the LPDC group if prior permission is needed. On the registration form for the meeting, please list coaches' names so that these certificates can be prepared before the meeting.
